Middle School Social Science Teacher

Duties
Job Duties:
- Provide direct instruction to middle school social studies students.
- Develop lesson plans aligned to Illinois Learning Standards.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate instruction for students.
- Maintain the Teacher Gradebook.
- Utilize Differentiated Instruction.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods, strategies, and interventions to maximize student learning.
- Actively participate in MTSS and PBIS processes.
- Continual review of student data (district assessments, local and state testing, etc.).
- Collaborate with special education teachers and administration.
- Attend staff and in-service meetings directed by building administration.
- Maintain appropriate contact with parents to support student achievement.
- Maintain the professional atmosphere of the school.
- Perform other duties in alignment with job classification as directed by the principal or designee.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Meet the Illinois State Board of Education Standards
- Show evidence of Professional Educator License (PEL) valid in Illinois with appropriate endorsement
Salary/Benefits
Range $49,437.00 $66,785
