    Job Summary

    Grimmer Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement.

    Requirements

    • Education: Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field
    • Licensure: Valid Indiana Teaching License

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum goals.
    • Teach mathematical concepts to students in grades 6-8, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, and statistics.
    • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Assess and evaluate student progress through regular quizzes, tests, and assignments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
    • Create and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular lessons and participate in professional development opportunities.
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive learning community.
    • Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required.
    • Stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
    • Previous experience teaching middle school students preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
    • Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.
