Responsibilities

• Instruct English Learner students individually or in groups in oral language activities that foster the childs participation in the schools total program.
• Provide written language activities until the student is ready to join an existing language arts group within the school.
• Recommend appropriate modifications of the childs regular classroom assignments with respect to the existing English language level.
• Assist in developing a sequential ESL Program.
• Assist in developing/assembling relevant assessment materials.
• Assist in developing/assembling materials for classroom use.

Qualifications

• Certification as Teacher of English as a Second Language.
• Experience as teacher of English as a Second Language in a public school setting preferred.
• Fluency in a second language preferred.
• Extended experience living in another culture preferred.

Supplemental Information

SALARY: Per ASC/Andover Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
