QUALIFICATIONS:

• Appropriate Certification
• Master's Degree or above with emphasis in school administration preferred
• Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience
• Understand a data driven, research-based approach to instruction
• Experience with technology
• Proven record of effective, collaborative leadership skills
• Excellent communication; high standards of personal ethics and integrity; a passion for excellence; a proactive, positive approach to problem solving

REPORTS TO: Superintendent/Middle School Principal

JOB GOAL: To create a middle school environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils; to motivate pupils and staff to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for education in accordance with each individual's ability; to establish positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community. To provide dynamic, responsive, collaborative and forward-thinking vision, leadership and management of technology systems and services to support the mission and goals of the District.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To perform as a team member of the district's administration and staff
• Provide instructional technological services to the schools, school staff and families.
• To perform as a leader at the building level

Facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate curriculum and programs

Promote effective instruction and learning

Communicate with school/community groups

Participate in community activities

Focus attention on student performance

Supervise and evaluate personnel

Maintain a balanced budget

Maintain standards of pupil and staff behavior needed to achieve a positive, functional learning atmosphere
