    We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and student-centered educator to serve as our Computer Science Teacher at Kettle Moraine Middle School. This individual will lead instruction in computer science, engineering, robotics, digital media, and emerging technologies, helping students build technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Deliver instruction in core computer science courses including Computer Science and Computer Science Essentials & Programming.

    • Teach applied technology courses such as Drones, Robotics & Circuits and Video Game Design & Film.

    • Develop students' computational thinking, coding, engineering design, and digital media skills.

    • Design and implement project-based, hands-on STEM learning experiences.

    • Integrate digital citizenship, ethical technology use, and online safety into instruction.

    • Facilitate safe and effective use of technology, robotics, drones, electronics, and digital production tools.

    • Assess student learning using performance-based tasks, projects, and formative and summative measures.

    • Maintain accurate student records, grading, and communication with families.

    • Collaborate with principals, instructional staff, and the Curriculum and Instruction team to ensure alignment with district curriculum and instructional priorities.

    • Support district initiatives related to STEM education, career readiness, and the Graduate Profile.

    • Maintain professional conduct, boundaries, and compliance with all district policies and KMORRs.

    • Complete other duties as assigned.

    • Required Education, Experience, and Credentials

    Education

    Bachelor's degree in education, computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field required.

    Experience

    Successful teaching experience or relevant professional experience in computer science, software development, engineering, robotics, IT, or digital media strongly preferred.

    Licensure

    Valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license in Computer Science, Technology Education, or a related instructional area required, or the ability to obtain appropriate DPI licensure through a non-traditional or alternative pathway.

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of computer science, programming, and applied technology.

    • Experience with robotics, drones, circuitry, or digital media tools.

    • Ability to manage a technology-rich, hands-on classroom environment.

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    • Ability to design engaging, project-based STEM learning experiences.

    • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.

    Compensation & Employment Terms

    Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and qualifications, in accordance with the KMSD compensation schedule.
