Job Description:

LEAP Academy University Charter School is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Part-Time Middle School Climate & Culture Assistant (bilingual preferred) to help cultivate a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment where all students can thrive. The ideal candidate is committed to promoting student success by supporting positive behavior, social-emotional development, and a culture of high expectations. Working collaboratively with school leadership, teachers, students, and families, the Climate & Culture Assistant will help implement behavioral interventions, strengthen school climate initiatives, and encourage consistent student attendance while fostering meaningful family engagement.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bilinugal preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To provide leadership to ensure that all students understand the school environment, themselves in relation to others, their progress, and their strengths
• To monitor and evaluate the physical/mental/emotional well-being of students, assess risks to student health, and plan programs that directly address the physical/ mental/ emotional health of students
• Establish and promote high standards and expectations for students
• Establish a system for measuring culture and climate improvements including attendance data, discipline data, student achievement data, and climate survey responses
• Collaborate with building administrators and school-based teams to build their capacity to develop school-wide systems for student discipline that incorporate the following: regular data analysis, data-based decision-making; identification of students in need of support; provision of high-quality interventions when students' behavior results in repeated disciplinary responses; and strategies to promote student behavior and school climate
• Coordinate implementation of research-based social emotional and behavioral interventions
• Serve as the facilitator of Restorative Practices programs
• Performs other duties as assigned

Terms of Employment:

2026/2027 10-month contracted position

Salary Range: Hourly Rate: $20/hr
