Middle Office Analyst

This role will monitor market and credit risk exposures, support operational risk controls, perform trade and deal input activities, and assist with risk-related systems and projects. Support deal input and transaction processing within designated financial systems to strengthen operational controls and reduce administrative demands on trading teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A financial services organization is seeking a bilingual Chinese-speaking risk professional to support its Financial Markets business. This role will monitor market and credit risk exposures, support operational risk controls, perform trade and deal input activities, and assist with risk-related systems and projects. Candidates with hands-on experience using Opics are especially encouraged to apply and will receive priority consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor market risk indicators, credit lines, and related exposure limits for the Financial Markets business.
• Support deal input and transaction processing within designated financial systems to strengthen operational controls and reduce administrative demands on trading teams.
• Monitor operational risk indicators and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), escalating issues as appropriate.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, static data, and other materials supporting Opics-related initiatives and other risk projects.
• Assist with system testing, upgrades, and implementation activities, including Opics enhancement projects.
• Support day-to-day operational risk controls and help identify potential issues affecting the business.
• Partner with relevant business, technology, and risk teams on projects and ad hoc initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting related to market, credit, and operational risk activities.
