Middle School/High School Guidance Counselor
Assumption Middle School and High School is seeking a compassionate, student-centered Guidance Counselor to support the academic, career, social, and emotional development of students in grades 6-12. The successful candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes student success while fostering a Christ-centered learning environment.
Responsibilities include providing individual and small-group counseling; assisting students with academic planning, course selection, graduation requirements, and post-secondary planning; coordinating standardized testing programs; maintaining accurate student records; collaborating with teachers, parents, and student support staff; and serving as a resource for students and families. The counselor will also support students through transitions, crisis response, referrals, and intervention services while promoting the overall well-being of the school community.
Qualified candidates must hold a master''s degree in counseling and possess (or be eligible for) Wisconsin DPI certification as a school counselor. Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, and technology skills are essential. Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is preferred.
