The following position is vacant for the 2026-2027 school year:

SCHOOL: Hanover-Horton Middle/High School

POSITION: Dean of Students/Athletic Director

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/CONDITIONS:

• Meet State of Michigan requirements for teacher certification preferred
• Master's Degree preferred
• Minimum five (5) years satisfactory teaching experience, secondary level preferred
• Knowledge and practice of PBIS systems preferred
• Experience with student discipline
• Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills
• Committee participation
• Participation in or conducting staff development activities
• Knowledge/experience in coaching evaluations
• Be able to work in a highly collaborative administrative team environment
• Extensive coaching experience at the varsity level preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build successful working relationships
• Ability to create vision and establish framework for program coach accountability and integrity
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership that results in teamwork and collaborative working relationships
• Successful experience in budget management
• Ability and desire to work effectively with students, staff, and community
• Ability to set up and tear down facilities
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on schedule demands and willingness to work nights and some weekends
• Ability to recruit and organize necessary personnel to effectively manage competitions
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in computer use
• Other duties as assigned by administration
