Job Overview:
Primoris Energy Services is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team for a project at 24005 Rayburn. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various heavy equipment used in energy services construction projects.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Operate heavy equipment including, but not not limited to, excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, trenchers, and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
* Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of equipment, including checking fluid levels, tires, and all safety devices.
* Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
* Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and governmental regulations (OSHA, etc.).
* Interpret and follow instructions from supervisors, including blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
* Maintain accurate daily logs of equipment operation, maintenance, and work performed.
* Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and other personnel on site.
* Ensure proper care and handling of all tools and equipment.
* Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to a safe working environment.
* Perform general labor duties as required when not operating equipment.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or energy services environment.
* Proven ability to safely and efficiently operate multiple types of heavy equipment.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
* OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction certification preferred.
* Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
* Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
* Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, and perform other physical tasks associated with the job.
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
* Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by project demands.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
