Nazdar is looking for Mill Operators to join our ink production team. In this role, you'll operate manufacturing mills that grind and blend raw materials into finished screen printing inks while maintaining our standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
You'll work closely with Production and Quality Control to monitor the milling process, perform quality checks, document production information, and ensure batches meet established specifications.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1:30 PM–12:00 AM
- Must be available to train on Day Shift (Monday-Friday 5:30 AM–2:00 PM) for first few weeks

What You'll Do
As a Mill Operator, you'll operate production mills and monitor the milling process to help transform raw materials into high-quality screen printing inks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a 3-roll mill in a continuous production and processing operation
- Following established production process specifications and instructions from leads or higher-level technical personnel
- Monitoring mill operations and reporting equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to the supervisor
- Performing grind checks after the required number of passes are completed
- Determining whether additional passes are needed based on grind results
- Accurately recording production and grind information on batch tickets, including grind approval, batch weight, number of passes, and other required information
- Submitting completed batch tickets to Quality Control for approval
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe production area
- Performing all work according to established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures
- Assisting with other production duties and responsibilities as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Manufacturing or production experience required
- Two or more years of related experience outside of Nazdar, or demonstrated competency in the current position within the company
- Safety-oriented and committed to following established procedures
- Ability to use an iPad and scanners for data entry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Ability to follow detailed production specifications and instructions
- Dependable and committed to maintaining a consistent work schedule
- Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
Physical Requirements
With reasonable accommodation, employees must be able to:
- Stand and walk around the production floor for extended periods
- Reach with hands and arms overhead and above the shoulders
- Bend to retrieve containers and packages
- Frequently lift and move materials required for production
- Climb ladders to retrieve materials
- Talk and hear
- Frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 75 pounds
- Push and pull wheeled materials or equipment weighing up to 4,000 pounds
- Distinguish colors as required for the production process
