We are Pepoltek, an IT company building a portfolio of SaaS products used across education, HR, and enterprise operations, including BIDYATek, a school management platform for institutions across Bangladesh, our Intelligent HR Solution, a cloud-based HRMS used by growing companies, and an Enterprise ERP suite for supply chain and financial operations. Alongside our own products, we work with software development partners across the globe to extend our engineering capacity on their behalf. 

We are hiring a Mid Level Software Engineer for one of these partners, an AI platform for construction capital program owners based in New York, to help build and maintain their production data integrations.

The Role
We are looking for a Mid Level Software Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to build and maintain production-grade integrations and data pipelines. 

You should be a strong Python engineer with hands-on integration experience: API calls at scale, rate limits, async processes, retries, and orchestration tools like Prefect, Dagster, Step Functions, or Airflow. This is a role for a self-starter who is excited to roll up their sleeves, maintain and support critical pipelines, and grow into designing systems over time, joining a lean, AI-native team of 20.

What You'll Do

• Build, extend, and maintain API integrations at scale, including authentication, pagination, rate limiting, retries, and error handling
• Implement and operate orchestrated data workflows using tools like Prefect, Dagster, AWS Step Functions, or Airflow
• Support and maintain production pipelines day to day, investigating issues and reducing repeat incidents
• Deliver well-scoped backend projects from requirements through implementation, testing, rollout, and monitoring
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and forward deployed engineers to translate field insights into durable product capabilities

What You'll Bring

• 2 to 5 years of backend software engineering experience
• Built and maintained production data or integration pipelines in Python, using tools such as Prefect, Dagster, Step Functions, or Airflow
• Strong Python proficiency for backend services and data workflows
• Hands-on experience with API integrations at scale, including rate limiting, retries, async handling, and error recovery
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a reputable university

Nice to Have

• Experience at an early-stage B2B SaaS startup, seed to Series B
• Hands-on AWS experience, including Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, SQS, and CDK

Growth
You will grow from maintaining and supporting critical pipelines into designing systems over time, working closely with senior engineers and forward deployed engineers on a team that has increased engineering output 4 to 5 times.

Compensation and Perks

• $140,000 to $160,000 base salary
• Competitive equity
