    Our client, a respected multi-office North Carolina law firm, is looking for a mid-level litigation associate to join its business disputes and litigation practice in Raleigh. You'll work on sophisticated commercial matters alongside experienced litigators in a collaborative, team-oriented group. It's a strong fit for an associate with about four years of hands-on litigation experience who is ready for more responsibility in complex business cases.

    If You Have:

    • A North Carolina law license, or eligibility for admission to the North Carolina Bar
    • About four years of litigation experience, with a strong foundation in every phase of the litigation process
    • Experience taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, and drafting and arguing motions
    • Preferred: experience with North Carolina Business Court matters, shareholder and derivative actions, M&A-related litigation, commercial lease disputes, commercial debt collection and enforcement, or other complex business disputes
    • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
    • Sound judgment, strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
    • A commitment to exceptional client service and collaborative teamwork

    You Will Be:

    • Handling day-to-day case management on complex business and commercial disputes

    • Taking and defending depositions

    • Appearing in court for hearings and other proceedings

    • Drafting and arguing motions

    • Conducting legal research and preparing high-quality briefs, memoranda and other written work

    • Working with partners and clients to develop and carry out litigation strategy

    • Advising clients on case developments and next steps

    • Taking on more responsibility in complex matters over time
