Job Summary

Job Description

  • Support mass rearing of multiple insect species for laboratory and field research
  • Perform insect colony maintenance including feeding, cage cleaning, and diet preparation
  • Assist with greenhouse operations and activities
  • Support laboratory experiments and research tasks
  • Assist with field research activities including data collection, weed removal, and infesting trials
  • Follow and maintain ISO Quality Management Standards
  • Wear required PPE and follow safety procedures in laboratory and field environments

 

Skills Required

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a global and multi-cultural setting
  • Experience in biology, agriculture, or laboratory environments
  • Ability to follow research protocols and quality standards

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Biology, agricultural, and/or laboratory experience preferred
  • Academic laboratory experience is acceptable

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass a drug screening and background check
  • Shift Start: 08:00 AM
  • Ability to pass a physical examination
  • Ability to pass a pulmonary fit test for respirator use
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Farm, livestock, zookeeper, or related hands-on experience is a plus

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Estimated Salary: $26.06 to $34.06 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
