Job Summary:
The Engineer II, Systems is responsible for the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise server, cloud, virtualization, and Microsoft 365 environments. This role supports Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Citrix, networking, monitoring, automation, security, and system upgrades while partnering with cross-functional IT teams to maintain reliable and secure infrastructure.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and hybrid AD.
• Administer Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, Microsoft 365 Apps, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
• Support and maintain Linux server environments, including configuration, patching, troubleshooting, user administration, and performance monitoring.
• Administer Citrix DaaS/virtualization environments, including machine catalogs, delivery groups, vDisks, StoreFront servers, and virtual machines.
• Perform server maintenance, upgrades, patching, configuration management, backup/recovery, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot system, application, server, and network connectivity issues; perform root-cause analysis and resolve incidents within established SLAs.
• Support connectivity across servers, storage, cloud resources, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Graph, or similar scripting technologies.
• Configure and manage monitoring solutions such as Dynatrace, PRTG, SolarWinds, or similar tools.
• Support cloud environments including Microsoft Azure and AWS, provisioning resources and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure.
• Apply security best practices, manage access controls, support security/compliance requirements, and maintain system documentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, security, and project teams on system integrations, upgrades, deployments, and technical initiatives.

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience, including Microsoft Windows Server administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
  • Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange, Intune, and Teams
  • Hybrid Active Directory and Exchange environments
  • Linux administration
  • Citrix DaaS and virtualization technologies
  • PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting
  • Enterprise monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, PRTG, or SolarWinds
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Knowledge of backup/recovery, system security, patching, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.

 Preferred / Plus:

• AD FS experience.
• VMware experience.
• Experience working with security frameworks or standards such as NIST or ISO 27001.
• Experience supporting systems in a regulated environment.
