Job Description:- Serve as a Technical Architect and manager for complex technology implementations.
- Continuously reengineer and refactor systems to create simple, scalable, and efficient architectures.
- Leverage open-source technologies and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work across various development methodologies.
- Partner with stakeholders to define technical vision, objectives, and success criteria.
- Design overall system architecture using prototypes and Proofs of Concept (POCs).
- Work with modern technologies including Ruby, Python, Node.js, Django, Rails, HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs, Bootstrap, jQuery, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, CI/CD, continuous monitoring tools, Git, and GitHub.
- Ensure technical architecture aligns with business growth and strategic objectives.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies.
- Decompose business and system architecture to enable clean-interface, multi-team development.
- Develop product roadmaps, backlogs, user stories, and measurable success criteria.
- Communicate effectively with technical, business, and executive-level stakeholders.
- Analyze and develop conceptual and detailed technical designs.
- Develop and maintain JBOSS Messaging and Spring-JMS connectivity.
- Design and maintain database schemas based on business requirements and legacy systems.
- Develop and manage daily and weekly jobs that interact with external interfaces.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements.
- Lead team members in gathering business requirements and executing project milestones.
- Provide expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and later, including installation, configuration, administration, security, encryption, patching, upgrades, and monitoring.
- Architect, configure, and manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups (AG) and High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
- Manage and support Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instances, SQL Server on Amazon EC2, and AWS RDS for SQL Server.
- Perform database migrations using SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) and Database Migration Assistant (DMA).
- Migrate Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases between on-premises data centers and Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) monitoring solutions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive SQL Server backup and recovery strategies.
- Develop automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Perform database security patching using SCCM, WSUS, Tanium, or similar tools.
- Create detailed architecture diagrams, technical documentation, procedures, and implementation guides.
- Collaborate effectively with customers, project stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
Qualifications:- Minimum 8 years of experience in systems development, analysis, programming, or testing.
- 10 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server installations, configurations, security, encryption, patching, monitoring, and administration.
- 5 years of experience managing enterprise Microsoft SQL Server environments with 300+ servers.
- 5 years of experience developing SQL Server automation scripts using Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or similar tools.
- 5 years of experience migrating and upgrading Microsoft SQL Server to the latest supported versions.
- 3 years of experience performing SQL Server cloud migrations from on-premises environments.
- 3 years of experience managing Azure SQL and/or Azure SQL Managed Instances.
- 5 years of experience architecting, configuring, and managing SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, HA, and DR environments.
- 5 years of experience performing SQL Server backups and recoveries using Commvault, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), or similar tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Cloud certifications such as Azure Fundamentals or higher, AWS Cloud Practitioner or higher, Microsoft professional certifications, or professional-level Google Cloud certifications are preferred/required.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
