NQS (National Quality Systems) is in search of aMicrosoft Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) reporting to the Senior Executive VP of Engineering. This is a remote position in the US.

Position Summary
The Microsoft Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is responsible for the deployment, operation, reliability, security, and continuous improvement of the NQS cloud platform. This role combines Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, and DevOps responsibilities.

Required Experience:
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Deploy and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters.
- Install and configure customer SaaS environments.
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure as code.
- Administer Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server.
- Maintain GitHub repositories and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor production environments and respond to incidents.
- Perform root cause analysis and automate operational tasks.
- Support engineering and customer support during production issues.
- Manage Azure Key Vault secrets and support HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II, and HITRUST compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information system or related field (master’s preferred)
- 5+ years supporting production cloud infrastructure.
- 3+ years administering Microsoft Azure.
- 3+ years managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience with AKS, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Docker, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong Linux administration and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
- Experience troubleshooting distributed applications and networking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Helm, Argo CD, Redis, Prometheus, Grafana, NGINX Ingress.
- Healthcare SaaS and HIPAA/SOC 2 experience.
Success Measures
- Deploy customer environments independently within 90 days.
- Improve automation, monitoring, and platform reliability.
- Resolve production issues with minimal supervision.
- Develop operational documentation and runbooks.
