- Description:We are seeking an experienced Microservices Architect/Lead to design and deliver scalable enterprise solutions using Python, Core Java, and microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in distributed application architecture, API design, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise modernization. The candidate must also have hands-on experience working on projects involving Generative AI (GenAI) and AI-based technologies.
The role will focus on defining end-to-end technical architectures, establishing architectural standards, modernizing existing applications, and guiding engineering teams in developing highly scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable microservices-based solutions.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design robust distributed application architectures using Python, Core Java, and microservices for scalable enterprise solutions.
- Define high-level and detailed technical blueprints translating business requirements into reusable, modular, and adaptable implementation patterns.
- Evaluate existing applications and services to identify architectural gaps, technical debt, and modernization opportunities.
- Develop practical migration strategies that minimize business risk and downtime.
- Lead end-to-end solution design across application, data, integration, and security layers.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical features, APIs, service boundaries, and integration patterns.
- Establish coding standards and architectural guardrails for Python and Core Java services.
- Promote clean code, performance optimization, concurrency, memory management, and reliable error handling.
- Review architecture documents, sequence diagrams, API/interface contracts, and technical designs.
- Evaluate cloud-native tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns to improve scalability, resilience, observability, and cost efficiency.
- Apply microservices patterns including service discovery, configuration management, fault tolerance, event-driven communication, and service decomposition.
- Mentor senior developers on Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices architecture, and event-based systems.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to support data-driven and pricing optimization solutions where applicable.
- Ensure non-functional requirements including performance, security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability are incorporated into architecture decisions.
- Document architectural decisions, integration approaches, service boundaries, and implementation standards.
- Work with operations and platform teams to support monitoring, incident response, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and support Java and Python microservices for enterprise applications.
- Leverage GenAI/AI-based technologies and tools in enterprise projects and solution development.
Required Skills:
- 11 14+ years of overall IT experience, with strong enterprise architecture experience.
- Strong expertise in Python.
- Strong expertise in Core Java.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience with API design, integration patterns, and data modeling.
- Strong understanding of microservices patterns such as service discovery, configuration management, fault tolerance, and service decomposition.
- Experience with performance tuning, concurrency, memory management, and high-throughput applications.
- Experience designing secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience working on GenAI/AI-based projects.
- Experience using GenAI tools in software development or enterprise technology projects.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and hybrid environments.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
- Strong technical documentation and architecture/design review experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 11 14+ years of relevant technology experience.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-scale microservices solutions using Python and Core Java.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with architects, developers, product teams, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor senior developers and provide technical direction without requiring formal people-management responsibilities.
- Experience with pricing optimization or analytical/data-driven business domains is a plus.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud architecture certification is preferred.
