Description
Job Title: Microbiology Technician
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: 12+ Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (occasional weekend work may be required)
Job Summary:
Responsible for preparing samples and performing microbiological testing on food products, ingredients, environmental samples, and other materials to support food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing using aseptic techniques.
- Prepare and analyze samples for pathogens, bacteria, probiotics, and indicator organisms.
- Accurately perform tests, interpret results, and maintain laboratory documentation.
- Follow quality control procedures and complete required training.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related Life Science.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
- Laboratory experience in microbiology or food testing preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 or GLP standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
