Construction Superintendent
Manage day-to-day site operations on commercial construction projects. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term work plans. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance. Lead site meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders. Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies. Resolve field issues and proactively mitigate project risks. Coordinate inspections, permits, and project closeout activities. Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports and progress logs.
A successful Superintendent should have: Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial construction projects. Strong knowledge of New York City construction practices, codes, and regulations. Experience managing projects ranging from tenant interiors and fit-outs to ground-up commercial developments. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to drive schedules and manage multiple subcontractors effectively. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, quality control, and safety management. OSHA 30 certification preferred. Proficiency with construction management software and digital reporting tools. Stable work history with reputable General Contractors.
