Youll join a missiondriven team that values courage, compassion, and creativity while helping launch and grow a brandnew palliative care program from the ground up .At Emmanuel Hospice, we understand the role that palliative care can offer in our community and we are excited to bring this service to life alongside our core hospice services. This role offers the rare opportunity to be a cornerstone in launching Emmanuel Hospices new palliative care program, shaping its vision, structure, and long-term impact. As a key leader, you will guide the development of innovative care models that will meaningfully support patients who are facing serious illness and their families. Your expertise will directly influence how the program grows, evolves, and becomes an essential part of the Emmanuel Hospice continuum of care.Reporting directly to the CEO, the Palliative Care Manager ensures the program reflects excellence, regulatory compliance, and the mission to support patients and families with serious illness.Key Responsibilities:Lead all program startup activities, including workflows, policies, and operational designManage program budget, financial performanceSupervise and support palliative care staff in collaboration with the Medical DirectorOversee compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, and accreditation standardsSupport provider credentialing and payer contractingEnsure efficient scheduling, referrals, documentation, and care transitionsDrive program growth, customer service, and performance improvementDeliver social work services during start up and as neededParticipate in the Manager On-Call Rotation for hospice servicesQualifications:Master's degree in social work required; hospice or palliative care related leadership experience preferred.Prior program development experience preferredExperience in Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Office products is requiredStrong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, and guide teams through periods of growth and change.Benefits:Competitive SalaryMileage reimbursement at the federal rateGenerous PTO package403(b) retirement plan with employer matchMedical, Dental, and Vision coverage starting Day OneEmployer-paid Life and Short-Term DisabilitySelf-care coaching and Employee Assistance ProgramTechnology providedas needed (laptop/iPad, cell phone)
