Manager, Volunteer Services

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Our facility also offers specialized services in bariatric surgery, robotic surgery, minimally invasive spine procedures, and advanced orthopedic care.

Position Summary:

Provides administrative leadership to Volunteer Services at Parkwest Medical Center, Peninsula Hospital, and Fort Sanders West.

Responsibilities:
  • Works with hospital leadership to identify and respond to staffing needs which may be met by volunteers.
  • Provides volunteers for various fund raising programs and projects.
  • Supervises adult and college volunteer programs.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining procedures, policies, and job descriptions for each volunteer work area.
  • Promotes volunteer programs and recruits additional volunteers.
  • Responsible for staffing and evaluations of employed persons in department.
  • Organizes and presents at quarterly volunteer meetings.
  • Responsible for management of volunteer newsletter.
  • Handles disciplinary problems and complaints related to volunteers.
  • Serves on committees and teams as requested.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education:         

High school and some post high school/vocational specialized training required

 

Minimum Experience:         

Three (3) years of hospital experience that includes supervisory experience required.
