    Description

    Mgr, Supply Chain Process Improvement

    Overall Job Summary

    This position is responsible for leading cross functional strategic supply chain initiatives focused on balancing cost, service, and capacity across the supply chain. By leveraging continuous improvement methodologies and principles to analyze current practices and develop new enhanced ones, this position will drive change that increases workflow efficiency across the network and reduces landed cost.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

    • Leverage supply chain expertise to drive cross-functional projects and initiatives including the evaluation of current state, future state requirement and design, ROI analysis, communication plans, and change management.
    • Analyze current end to end processes, facilitate cross functional idea generation, develop improved processes, and implement changes.
    • Lead Lean / Kaizen events through Tractor Supply's 'Tractor Value System' structure.
    • Collaborate with IT partners to develop and prioritize supply chain initiatives and serve as a key business owner throughout the initiatives.
    • Lead the data collection, financial analysis, recommendations, and ROI for supply chain projects.
    • Coordinate the project plan and deployment of new end to end supply chain technologies.
    • Aid in development of KPIs to monitor and measure strategic initiatives.

    Required Qualifications

    Experience:

    Minimum 4 years of direct experience in supply chain (preferably retail); Combination of experience and education will be considered.

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Supply Chain/Logistics preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

    Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

    • Working knowledge and application of continuous improvement practices
    • Ability to work with large data sets across multiple sources.
    • Problem solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
    • Ability and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
    • Ability to write and enforce policies and procedures
    • Ability to work overtime and travel up to 30%

    Working Conditions

    • Required to work in a physical environment that is subject to temperature extremes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment, possible exposure to hazardous products, dust and other conditions associated with a warehouse operation
    • Room temperatures, lighting and traditional equipment as found in any typical warehouse environment

Part time new hires gain eligibility for TSC Benefits by averaging at least 15 hours per week during their 90-day lookback period.
