The Manager Operations Y Access Transport is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all departments within the Company and must be proficient and knowledgeable in all aspects of company operations as they may be called upon to fill absences of any of the positions they supervise.

Responsibilities:
- 1. Possess the ability to perform all duties as outlined in the job descriptions for Paramedic Supervisor, Dispatch Supervisor, Chair Car Manager, and EMT Field Supervisor.
- 2. Provide supervision and guidance to all direct reports, including daily check-ins to ensure proper operations.
- 3. Assign and ensure follow-up on any reported incidents, any internal/external complaints, and any motor vehicle accidents.
- 4. Regularly consult with all vendors to ensure adequate supply lines and best pricing.
- 5. Attend all monthly/quarterly medical control meetings as scheduled by medical control (currently Bridgeport, Milford, New Haven, and Stamford).
- 6. Review run form QA as received from QA contractor and assign a supervisor to remediate employees as needed.
- 7. Manages vehicle uptime by maintaining adequate supplies and ensuring IT functionality
- 8. Maintain inventory of all durable medical equipment, including, scheduling all routine maintenance, researching and making recommendations to the VP regarding the replacement schedule of equipment, researching and making recommendations to the VP on the purchase of new equipment.
- 9. Schedule bi-annual State of CT OEMS inspections (due odd years).
- 10. Schedule bi-annual mechanical inspections of all OEMS ambulance-plate vehicles to be completed by March 1 of even years.
- 11. Ensure all vehicles meet regulations for registration renewal (March 30 of even years).
- 12. Work with Fleet Manager to schedule vehicle maintenance at noted intervals and ensure requested vehicles are available for maintenance.
- 13. Work with Fleet Manager on vehicle replacement schedule, make recommendations to VP of Operations on vehicle replacements and vehicle design.
- 14. Oversee the hiring process to ensure compliance with all company policies.
- 15. Compile monthly reports as needed for all medical controls and other stakeholders.
- 16. Work with Scheduler to ensure proper level of daily staffing.
- 17. Maintain all servers, including but not limited to Zoll Servers, and all related software maintenance, Domain Controller, Small Business Server, YNHH StatCall server, and audio recorder. Maintain all IT systems and work with IT as needed.
- 18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree perferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in commercial EMS at the paramedic level.
LICENSURE
Must maintain Connecticut EMT-P Certification and all certifications and training required to maintain medical control at the ALS SCT level. Valid driver's license and driving record in compliance with company policy regarding insurability.
SPECIAL SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret, and create documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively represent the company when communicating with clients, customers, and the general public. Proficiency in basic mathematical operations, including the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Demonstrates a mature and confident demeanor necessary for reassuring patients and clients.
