Overview

The Finance Leader for the Canada segment is responsible for overseeing all financial activities and performance for the Canadian business, while also maintaining enterprise‑level ownership of U.S. Pool and Canada gross‑to‑net programs, including allowances and rebates. This individual serves as a critical liaison between Canada leadership and North America / Corporate Finance, providing clear visibility into business results, gross‑to‑net performance, and commercial execution. This role is foundational in improving financial performance, commercial discipline, and operational alignment across the Canada organization and broader North America, leveraging strong business acumen, cross‑functional collaboration, and actionable insights to add value to the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Insights

• Serve as a trusted and strategic business partner to the Canada Commercial Leader and leadership team, translating financial data into actionable business insights.
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities to revenue, margin, and communicate recommendations to division leadership with clear financial implications and tradeoffs.
• Provide financial insights and modeling in support of long- and short-term business strategies, pricing decisions, and gross margin analysis. Including but not limited to development of pro‑forma gross‑to‑net models to support customer growth strategies, pricing actions, and commercial business cases.
• Partner with Sales Operations and Commercial leadership to own gross‑to‑net processes and analyze customer‑level drivers, including U.S. Pool and Canada allowances, rebates, and net pricing realization.
• Perform analysis on growth and investment opportunities to assess and recommend strategic options.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to analyze cost drivers, inventory performance, and productivity initiatives, translating operational actions into financial impact.
• Drive sourcing optimization decisions in conjunction with Canadian and Operations leadership.

Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting

• Lead coordination and execution of the Canada annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, including full P&L and cash flow projections.
• Participate in annual strategic planning efforts and provide ongoing financial projections and scenario planning.
• Own approximately 95% of the North America end‑to‑end allowance and rebate forecasting process, governing ~$150M annually across U.S. Pool and Canada, setting, program assumptions, financial controls, and alignment to commercial strategy.
• Collaborate with the NAM Fin VP to prepare/align Canada inputs into the Global FP&A process, including budgets, sales forecasts, bridges, and outlook updates.
• Collaborate with business leaders to develop business cases, with KPI's, that underpin the budget and long-range planning projections.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Lead preparation and analysis of monthly Canada financial results, including income statement and cash flow reporting.
• Analyze and interpret operational performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Perform monthly variance analysis on the P&L.
• Conduct detailed monthly U.S. Pool and Canada gross‑to‑net analysis, including allowance and rebate volume, mix, and rate variances.
• Support month‑end close by providing net sales reporting, gross‑to‑net reconciliations, and analytical commentary.
• Develop clear, concise financial commentary that rolls into the North America consolidated financial storyline.
• Govern allowance accounts and gross‑to‑net processes, driving financial discipline and margin expansion.

Compliance, Controls & Fixed Assets

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and corporate accounting policies.
• Support external audit requirements through timely and accurate reporting.
• Own and maintain process documentation for all allowance and rebate activities, including standard work, control procedures, and finance deliverables calendar.
• Prepare and update rebate and allowance files in accordance with customer agreements, ensuring changes are properly documented and controlled.

Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Corporate Finance to ensure alignment of divisional results with enterprise-wide goals and reporting standards.
• Collaborate with HR, Sales, and other departments to support key initiatives such as safety incentive programs, commission structures, and labor cost tracking.
• Participate in lean efforts, including Kaizen events, to identify financial impact of process improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance preferred, including cost accounting and financial planning & analysis.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, standard costing, and financial modeling.
• Proven ability to act as a strategic advisor, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in partnering across functions and leading continuous improvement efforts.
• Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
