Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician

Overview

IMG Companies, a Division of Ichor Systems, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician for CNC Machines, located in Livermore, CA.

Position Responsibilities:
        Maintain production equipment in safe, optimal operating condition throughout the plant. 
        Communicate the proper care and maintenance of equipment to production personnel. 

• Report irregularities to department management
• Assist with the installation of new equipment with plant personnel on outside contractors. 
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications. 
• Basic computer skills are required to document all repairs in the maintenance repair request program. 
• Report machine parts and items needed by/for other departments to maintenance crew leader. 
• Follows all required safety procedures including those for chemical hazards. 

           Performs job in a manner that protects safety of all employees.


Position Requirements:

• Possess good mechanical knowledge and abilities to troubleshoot and repair equipment. 
• Understand DC and AC principles and components including motors.
•  Demonstrated understanding of EHS rules and regulations.

   Ability to read blueprints and schematics a plus
• Knowledge of shop tools, equipment, and maintenance practices. 
• Must be flexible and able to work individually and in a team-based environment with a positive attitude. 
• Must be able to handle frequent bending, twisting, crouching, squatting, and kneeling, push/pull/move/lift up to 50lbs. 

Strong interpersonal skills 

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1-2-year technical degree or any other related certifications or training is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry.
• Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, squat, twist, crouch, kneel, reach, push, pull, carry, climb ladders, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, coolant, dust, and temperature variations.

The business site where this position is located is an ITAR-compliant operation. Due to ITAR regulations, Ichor Systems is only able to employ US Persons. For candidates based in California: The pay range for this position is $19.33 - $32.84 per hour, non-exempt.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
