Position Information

Posted rate: $33.14/hr.

This position may be eligible for annual incentive pay and contracted increases as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, and you will have the opportunity for continued salary growth.

Primary Role

Basic understanding of meter function, meter reading and repair, Broad working knowledge of distribution system components, including their installation, such as valves, hydrants, tapping devices and various types of pipe materials.

Key Accountabilities

  • Test and Repair Meters.
  • Uploads, downloads meter routes, and produces edit reports.
  • Reads Meters.
  • Maintains stock and meter supply room.
  • Maintains a properly equipped vehicle.
  • Performs service person duties.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before the customers of the organization.

Experience/Education

  • Active state driver's license required.

Short Description

  • Monday-Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm.
  • Must serve emergency call out.
