    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Responsible for accurate and timely manual meter readings of gas and electric meters; record index into computerized handheld systems; report hazardous conditions, meter tampering and meter conditions, timely completion of assignments; assist in ensuring data integrity and customer satisfaction. Adheres to safety policies and practices and attends safety meetings.

    1. Explain what the scope of the work/project is? Project Overview, deliverables (what is this person responsible for). This is a Meter Reader backfill position. The contractor will pick up a tablet/device from the office, load assigned routes, read residential and commercial utility meters, capture accurate meter data, upload route information at the end of the day, and return equipment to the office. The role is focused primarily on meter reading and ensuring accurate collection of customer usage data. Contractors use their own vehicle and receive mileage reimbursement.
