We are currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Metallurgist to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgical manufacturing and a passion for continuous learning and innovation. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Metallurgist, you will:
1. Perform detailed metallurgical analysis and testing on various metals to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
2. Develop and implement metallurgical procedures and processes that improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
3. Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and improve product performance.
4. Conduct failure analysis investigations to determine the root cause of product failures and develop corrective actions.
5. Assist in the selection of materials for new product development and provide expert advice on material properties and behavior.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory standards related to metallurgy.
7. Prepare detailed reports on metallurgical testing, findings, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgical manufacturing, preferably in a similar industry.
3. Strong knowledge of metallurgical testing methods and procedures.
4. Experience with failure analysis and root cause analysis.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Proficiency in using software applications related to metallurgy and manufacturing.
8. A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements.
