PrideStaff/Southfield is searching for a metal sorter to join our client's team. This is your opportunity to get your foot in the door with a great company that values its employees! Once you become a full-time employee of this company.
The pay rate is $16 for a day shift, starting from 5 AM – 3 PM, with 10-hour shifts, Mon-Thu. Open availability is required for 3 pm-1 am shift.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sort materials by manually picking them up from a moving conveyor belt.
Must be able to work days, afternoons, or midnights and day Shifts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a dependable, self-motivated individual.
- This job is performed in a building that is heated to some degree. Employees are subject to heat or cold based on outside temperature fluctuations.
- Ability to stand throughout the shift. Also able to walk, bend/twist, and push/pull.
- Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the recycling facility.
- May occasionally assist by operating hi-lo
- Shoveling scrap into various bins for processing.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
- Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
- Metal Sorting and/or Construction Background preferred, but not required.
