Machine Operator Heavy Manufacturing / Metal Fabrication
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM 11:00 PM
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Employment Type:Direct Hire Permanent Position
We are hiring experienced Machine Operators for a 2nd shift, Direct Hire role in a heavy manufacturing and metal fabrication environment. This position offers immediate full-time employment with the companyno staffing contract or temporary assignment.
In this role, you will work hands-on with metal processing machinery and industrial equipment, transforming raw metal materials into finished or semi-finished products used across customer and industrial applications.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate industrial metal fabrication and processing equipment
- Assist with cutting, shaping, crushing, and sizing metal materials
- Work with steel, aluminum, and other metal products
- Perform material handling and forklift operations
- Support shipping, receiving, and production flow
- Inspect materials for quality and specifications
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing work area
- Rotate between workstations and departments as production needs change
- Strictly follow OSHA, safety, and industrial manufacturing standards
- Heavy-duty processing machines
- Metal shears and industrial saws
- Plasma cutting systems
- Crushers and metal reduction equipment
- Sorting, staging, and material preparation areas
- Forklift-assisted material handling
- Shipping and receiving operations
- MUST HAVE Prior forklift experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Previous experience in: Heavy manufacturing, Metal fabrication or metal processing, Machine operation or industrial equipment operation, Construction, production, or warehouse manufacturing environments
- Ability to work in multiple production departments
- Comfortable working in a high-production facility, non-climate controlled, and requires physical endurance, & attention to safety
