Forklift Operator - Metal Fabrication Industry 

This is not a traditional warehouse forklift position. Successful candidates will have experience operating a sit-down forklift to move heavy machinery, fabricated metal products, steel materials, and other oversized industrial components. The ability to safely transport, load, unload, and position large, heavy, and awkwardly shaped materials within a manufacturing or fabrication environment is essential. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to moving pallets, boxes, or packaged goods may not have the background required for this role.

Location: Orange, CA

Pay Range: 22.00 per hour

Shift:

• Training: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Permanent: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM

What's the Job?

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift and other material handling equipment in a metal fabrication environment.
• Load, unload, transport, and stage large, heavy, and irregularly shaped metal materials.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Transfer heat numbers to received materials and complete fabrication order documentation.
• Support shipping and receiving activities while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Ensure all materials are handled safely and stored properly to prevent damage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused yard and warehouse environment.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 1 year of sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, metal processing, steel distribution, or similar industrial environment.
• Experience moving large, heavy, long, and/or irregularly shapedmaterials such as steel, aluminum, metal tubing, sheet metal, bars, or fabricated products.
• Strong understanding of safe material handling, load balancing, and material rigging practices.
• Ability to work safely around production equipment and fabrication operations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
