Champion Personnel is hiring an experienced Metal Finisher / Hand Grinder for a busy manufacturing company in Cleveland that builds packaging and shrink-wrapping equipment used in the food and retail industries.
This is NOT an entry-level grinding position. Previous hand grinding and metal finishing experience is required.
Pay Based on Experience:
? $19/hour – Candidates with solid hand grinding and metal finishing experience
? $20/hour – Candidates with powder coating experience in addition to grinding/finishing experience
What You'll Be Doing:
- Use hand grinders to smooth edges and surfaces on aluminum and other metal components
- Grind, deburr, smooth, and finish metal parts
- Polish finished metal pieces
- Prepare surfaces to achieve a clean, quality finish
- Inspect finished pieces for consistency and quality
- Perform repetitive finishing work while maintaining attention to detail
- Assist with additional metal finishing duties as needed
- Work with components used to manufacture industrial shrink-wrapping equipment
What We're Looking For:
- Previous hand grinding experience REQUIRED
- Previous metal finishing experience REQUIRED
- Experience polishing, deburring, or smoothing aluminum/metal
- Powder coating experience is a HUGE PLUS and qualifies experienced candidates for $20/hour
- Manufacturing experience
- Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on work
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Able to lift up to approximately 20 lbs.
- Dependable with good attendance
