Location: Dover, PAPay: $18.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are hiring Metal Finishers / Belt Grinders to join a busy metal fabrication and manufacturing operation in Dover, PA.

This is a hands-on production role focused on improving the surface quality and appearance of fabricated metal components. You will use belt grinding and finishing equipment to remove imperfections, smooth rough areas, deburr edges, and prepare metal parts for the next stage of production or final finishing.

This position is a good fit for someone with experience in metal finishing, grinding, polishing, deburring, fabrication, or other hands-on manufacturing work.

What You'll Do

• Operate belt grinders to finish fabricated metal parts and components
• Grind and smooth metal surfaces to remove imperfections
• Remove burrs, rough edges, scratches, and other surface defects
• Polish and finish metal parts to meet required appearance and quality standards
• Visually inspect parts before and after finishing
• Handle fabricated metal components safely throughout the production process
• Identify and report defects or quality concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures
• Work with other members of the production and finishing teams to keep work moving efficiently

Previous experience in any of the following areas is helpful:

• Metal finishing
• Belt grinding
• Metal polishing
• Deburring
• Surface finishing
• Sheet metal fabrication
• Manufacturing
• Grinding
• General metalworking
• Production finishing

Candidates with experience as a Metal Finisher, Belt Grinder, Grinder, Polisher, Deburring Technician, Finishing Technician, Fabrication Technician, or Production Finisher may be a strong fit.
