A well-established, confidential plaintiff litigation firm is looking for a skilled paralegal to join its Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. The firm focuses on representing clients with asbestos-related and mesothelioma diagnoses — serious, complex cases that require both legal precision and a compassionate approach to client support.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in plaintiff-side asbestos or toxic tort paralegal work, though candidates coming from related areas such as mass tort, product liability, or medically intensive personal injury will also be considered. Defense-side asbestos paralegals are not a fit for this role.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Support a team of plaintiff attorneys through all phases of asbestos and mesothelioma litigation, from intake through trial
Gather, organize, and analyze medical records, treatment histories, and asbestos exposure documents to build the evidentiary foundation of each case
Prepare discovery responses, requests for production, interrogatories, and deposition summaries
Coordinate with medical and occupational experts, manage their scheduling, and assist in preparation for expert depositions
Handle e-filing across state and federal courts, and maintain detailed, deadline-driven case management records
Communicate with clients compassionately and professionally to gather documentation and provide case updates
Ideal Background:
2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with preference for plaintiff-side asbestos/mesothelioma or toxic tort matters
Strong skills in discovery management, deposition support, and trial preparation
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple active cases under deadline pressure
Comfortable working with clients who are navigating serious medical situations
Familiarity with e-filing systems and case/document management software
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary based on experience
Full benefits package: health, dental, and vision
Stable, long-term opportunity within a respected national plaintiff practice
