    M&A and Energy Transactions Associate (3–4 years) | Washington, DC | AmLaw 100

    A leading AmLaw 100 firm is hiring in Washington, DC for a deal associate who wants a true split of core M&A and energy-sector transactions. The group stays busy, and sits in the middle of the firm’s platform.

    ROLE SUMMARY

    • Buy-side and sell-side M&A, divestitures, and joint ventures

    • Energy transactional matters, including renewables, oil and gas, project development, and energy-related commercial contracts

    • Deals staffed with tax, benefits, labor, environmental, real estate, securities, and antitrust as needed, so you learn how the whole machine works, not just one lane

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    • 3–4 years of law firm experience in M&A and/or energy transactions (national-platform experience preferred)

    • Exposure to renewables, oil and gas, project development, or energy commercial contracts is a plus

    • Strong drafting and issue-spotting, comfortable working directly with deal teams and clients

    • Active DC Bar required or waive-in.
