    Title: Merchant Services Deal Pricing Analyst

    Location: 1150 W Washington St Tempe, AZ

    Alternate Locations: Des Moines, IA or Irving TX

    Duration: 12 months

    Work Engagement: W2

    Work Schedule: : 3 days in office/2 days remote

    Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Merchant Services Deal Pricing Analyst to support pricing strategy and deal evaluation within a growing Merchant Services organization. This role partners closely with Sales, Relationship Managers, and cross-functional teams to analyze pricing opportunities, assess profitability, and provide data-driven recommendations that balance client competitiveness with business objectives.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background in merchant services, payments, financial services, pricing, or finance, along with the ability to interpret complex data and influence business decisions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze merchant pricing requests and provide recommendations based on profitability, revenue impact, and business objectives.

    • Evaluate merchant portfolios, including transaction volumes, processing trends, seasonality, and cost structures.

    • Assess the financial impact of pricing proposals and support negotiation strategies.

    • Develop and maintain pricing models, reports, and business analyses using Excel and other reporting tools.

    • Partner with Sales, Relationship Management, Product, Operations, and Risk teams to support pricing decisions.

    • Review interchange, assessments, processing fees, and related cost components to determine pricing strategies.

    • Prioritize and manage multiple pricing requests while meeting service-level expectations and deadlines.

    • Identify trends and opportunities through data analysis to support business growth and client retention.

    • Communicate recommendations and findings to internal stakeholders and assist in discussions with clients when needed.

    • Ensure pricing decisions align with profitability, risk management, and compliance requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

    • 4+ years of experience in Merchant Services.

    • Experience analyzing data and making recommendations based on financial, operational, or business insights.

    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and modeling.

    • Experience with pricing analysis, financial analysis, revenue analysis, or profitability assessment.

    • Basic understanding of merchant pricing concepts, including interchange, assessments, processing fees, and related cost structures.

    • Experience working with pricing, reporting, or business intelligence tools.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Previous experience supporting merchant services pricing, deal pricing, or pricing strategy initiatives.

    • Understanding of payment network regulations, industry practices, and merchant acquiring operations.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy.

    • Advanced Excel capabilities, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.

    • Experience in merchant services pricing and strategic pricing decisions.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external customers.

    • Experience presenting financial or pricing recommendations to business partners.
