    Our client is a boutique merchant banking advisory platform focused on SPAC transactions, M&A advisory, and capital raising assignments.

    The firm is actively advising multiple SPAC vehicles, supporting capital markets transactions, and partnering with venture capital investors, founders, and management teams on strategic transactions. With several active mandates and a growing West Coast presence, they are seeking an entrepreneurial banking professional to help drive transaction execution, sourcing efforts, and overall firm growth.

    Ideal Candidates are current Investment Banking Analysts, Private Equity Associates, or Investment Banking Associates who thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of wearing multiple hats, managing transactions with limited infrastructure, and contributing meaningfully to business development and deal origination efforts.

    Key Responsibilities

    Transaction Execution

    • Support SPAC, M&A, and capital raising engagements from inception through closing.
    • Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials.
    • Develop management presentations, investor materials, and strategic positioning documents.
    • Work closely with management teams, functioning as an extension of the company's internal finance and strategy team.
    • Coordinate due diligence processes and assist with transaction structuring.
    • Drive project management efforts across multiple concurrent mandates.

    Business Development & Origination

    • Identify and source prospective transaction opportunities primarily through venture capital, growth equity, and founder networks.
    • Support outreach efforts to investors, management teams, and strategic partners.
    • Maintain relationships with venture funds and emerging technology ecosystems.
    • Assist in evaluating prospective acquisition and SPAC combination opportunities.
    • Contribute ideas and insights that help expand the firm's transaction pipeline.

    Candidate Profile

    • 2+ years of investment banking experience preferred.
    • Background in M&A, capital markets, technology banking, SPAC advisory, or related financial advisory environments.
    • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and presentation development capabilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and drive outcomes.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to participate in building a growing platform.
    • Strong organizational skills and willingness to take ownership across a wide range of responsibilities.
    • Comfortable operating in a lean, high-accountability environment.
    • Prior corporate development experience may be considered, particularly if preceded by investment banking training.
