    Job Overview:

    The main purpose of this position is to maximize the execution of programs (planners) and ensure compliance to account schematics and RCUSA merchandising standards in Chain accounts in California, enabling the company to achieve its volume and profit objectives.

    The position focuses and requires a strong, professional and proactive approach, in order to achieve the multiple performance goals.

    This position is focused on two key pillars:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with key chain accounts at store level (Liquor and Retail Store Managers and Chains District managers):

    • Improve visibility

    • Raise the profile of the portfolio within the trade and consumer community

    • Generate incremental sales volume (consumer pull via sensible and mutually beneficial programs and displays).

    • Manage the Wholesalers Chains Merchandising Division:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with all levels of the division

    • Constant and clear communication

    • Establish clear goals, expectations and monitor results

    Job Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities:

    • Must take a proactive approach in managing the execution of chain programs, which will enable RCUSA to achieve targeted brand objectives within the California Chains:

    • Communicate Chain planner support to the distributor's merchandising team (100% compliance)

    • Work with Division VP to establish quotas (depletions, displays, shelf set and lock box improvement)

    • Work with YMCo Chains Division (Sales Reps, DMs, DOCMs) to upsell programs (increase case sold in)

    • Identify platinum stores (merchandisable stores over and above planner) and develop and execute a plan to achieve incremental displays

    • Consistently review and analyze Nielsen data with chain merchandising teams and store managers to improve brand positioning

    • Manage RCUSA Distributor management to achieve all Remy fiscal objectives

    • Develop and maintain a productive and professional rapport with all levels of distributor management to facilitate growth of Remy brands in marketplace

    • Actively organize and participate in GSMs, blitzes and surveys and trade visits

    • Work with distributor sales team in the market:

    • 100% compliance on planners

    • 100% distribution on all authorized items

    • Improve RCUSA brand visibility & merchandising (permanent/temporary POS materials)

    • Increase cases sold by leveraging planners and programs

    • Identify opportunities and sell in of additional display

    • Ideally work in the market place with wholesaler Chains Merchandising personnel two to three times a week

    • Conduct Brand and Merchandising training at the Chains Division at their Fridays team meetings.

    • Communicate all programs and activities impacting chain channel.

    • Coordinate P.O.S. with RCUSA field marketing and with distributor POS warehouse and Chains

    • Merchandising personnel:

    • Check and update POS inventory on a monthly basis

    • Work with warehouse manager to ensure POS is ready and available for merchandising teams to utilize

    • Check warehouse quarterly to ensure only current POS is available for use in the field. Dispose of old POS if necessary.

    • Assigned Top Merchandisable (Platinum) Stores, develop and maintain:

    • Call on top stores (platinum stores where they can improve and maintain shelf location, lock box location and sell in displays. Number of accounts to be determined based on geography

    • Understanding of the structure of decision makers throughout the store

    • Strong level of rapport with store and liquor managers

    • Understand all available programs and marketing vehicles within the store

    • Become the local "face of" Rémy Cointreau USA portfolio

    • Identify/help fill distribution gaps

    • Encourage/facilitate on-going endorsement of Rémy Cointreau USA products to their customers

    • Place and refresh Rémy Cointreau USA Point-of-Sale materials in assigned accounts

    • Provide feedback concerning competitive activities and market trends

    • Provide input regarding future marketing plan development

    This role requires evening and weekend coverage on occasion - it is a full-time role with non-standard hours.

    Job Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 2+ years in experience in sales and/or merchandising in beverage alcohol industry
    • Customer driven and consumer focused
    • Proactive and solutions oriented
    • Ability to sell, influence and partner with customers/wholesalers
    • Demonstrated public-speaking, presentation and writing skills
    • Proven abilities to develop selling strategies targeted to enhance wine and spirit sales

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • BA/BS in business related major (such as Marketing, Accounting, Management etc.)
    • Experienced with Nielsen data (syndicated data)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) environment
    • Ability to work with management, colleagues, and customers throughout the business and industry at every level
    • Promotion and luxury goods experience a plus
