a Merchandiser for a Full-time position.

: East Coast Lumber is a full-service professional lumber yard and building supply company located in East Hampstead, NH that has been family owned and operated since 1976. By supplying local builders, remodelers, and homeowners with all their building needs, we have become a preferred supplier of lumber and building materials, kitchen & bath products, builder’s hardware, millwork, and equipment sales, rentals, and service.
The merchandising team is responsible for the critical task of maintaining the appearance and organization of the sales floors. This is a busy and active position that requires professionalism, attention to detail, and good customer service skills.
Working in a hardware and building material supply store, you will develop skills and knowledge that you will carry with you and in your everyday personal life. Full-time employment is preferred; however, flexible scheduling options, including reduced workweeks of approximately 25–28 hours or school-day schedules, may be considered for qualified candidates based on business needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities · Maintain and organize product displays to ensure an attractive and visually appealing store presentation.
· Stock shelves, replenish inventory, and ensure products are properly displayed.
· Ensure merchandise is priced, labeled, and signed accurately.
· Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items or replenishment needs.
· Set up promotional displays, seasonal merchandise, and featured product areas.
· Ensure products are arranged according to merchandising guidelines and company standards.
· Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floors and displays.
· Rotate products as needed to maintain freshness and proper product presentation.
· Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming merchandise.
· Identify opportunities to improve product placement and maximize sales.
· Monitor product presentation and ensure displays remain fully stocked throughout the day.
· Collaborate with store management and team members to achieve sales and merchandising goals.
· Follow company policies, safety procedures, and visual merchandising standards.
· Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product questions when needed.
General Requirements: · Must read and speak fluent English, (Bi-lingual in Spanish or Portuguese a plus).
· Basic computer skills and ability to learn new computer skills. (Email, internet searches, learn our internal systems, RF gun experience a plus)
· Able to Lift loads up to 70 lbs. plus work outdoors and indoors in all weather.
· Work on your feet 8 hours a day.
· Must have good organizational, multitasking skills.
· Must be willing and able to operate (or learn to operate) a lift truck and an electric pallet jack.
· Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
