    Collaborative Work Environment:

    At PetSmart, teamwork and connection are core to how we thrive. This role is based at our Phoenix Home Office, with an expectation of working a minimum of four days in the office each week. In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote "flex day" (with leader approval). Our hybrid approach is designed to foster strong collaboration while also supporting flexibility and individual success.

    About the Job

    In partnership with our vendors, merchandisers, planners and marketing, the Merchandise Coordinator will manage the day-to-day maintenance of our items/sku's. These responsibilities include everything from introducing the products to managing the promotions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Gather and populate information for new vendor and item set up
    • Liaison between cross-functional partners and buyers
    • Sample management
    • Vendor monitoring, payback management
    • Responsible for executing needed details into the promotional management system, inclusive of collecting, organizing/filing, entering, and changing and auditing promotions as needed
    • Maintenance and execution of digital pricing and promotions such as iMAP changes and Omni/web only offer setup. Collaboration with Site Merch team to ensure omni-offer creative and messaging is accurate and effective.
    • Manage the online assortment through greenlighting items to go live on site, setting fulfillment eligibility, coordinating assets and PDP updates with vendors, and assisting with backend attribution and taxonomy projects to ensure a seamless digital customer experience.
    • Review and sign off on marketing signage sent to all stores to ensure accuracy for upcoming promotions for pet parents
    • Managing category release uploads/change forms
    • Occasional customer service issues or store questions
    • Submitting communication to stores (CASE messages)
    • Misc vendor related issues, concerns or questions

    Education / Experience

    • Requires knowledge obtained through an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree
    • Proficiency typically obtained with 2+ years experience in a Buyer support, merchandising, or data entry role
    • Experience with Excel; beginner level
    • Requires good analytical process skills and high level of accountability to ensure accuracy of data
    • Candidate must have proven team forming skills to initiate positive relationships with other departments and outside vendors
    • Listens attentively and responds in a sensitive and appropriate manner, treating all with respect and dignity
    • Requires professional written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate information to all levels of leadership
    • Requires excellent organization and accurate data entry skills
    • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment where priorities can change quickly
    • Omnichannel experience (both stores and digital) is preferred
