    Expected salary range for this position is $145,000 - $185,000 depending on experience.

    TPC- Building Projects, A Tutor Perini Company,  is the company selected to execute construction of the Brooklyn Jail Project in New York.  TPC- Building Projects is seeking an MEP QC Field Engineer to join the project in Brooklyn, NY

    The approximate $3B project scope includes design and construction of a new state-of-the-art facility.   The facility will contain 1,040 beds for men, programmatic elements such as a gymnasium, multi-purpose rooms, and educational and workforce development spaces.

    DESCRIPTION: 


    As an MEP QC Field Engineer at TPC reporting to the QC Manager & Sr. Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:

    • Expand and Develop standard operating procedures and processes to achieve the highest levels of quality associated with delivering a completed construction project
    •  Assist with the creation of project specific Quality Management Plans and verify implementation of plan for each project 
    •  Assist with the development of Quality metrics that empower teams to review information on quality execution; work cross-functionally with operations to address any trend. 
    •  Manage a team of Quality professionals to execute the administrative tasks related to reporting site evaluations, quality reporting requirements, and site specific quality planning 
    •  Conduct random site evaluations, including follow-up evaluations to ensure corrections have been made to deficiencies 
    •  Create mechanisms for sharing best practices and quality issues across project teams and among all quality personnel 
    •  Act as a resource for field operations with compliance on Federal and State regulatory requirements as well as local quality regulations including: ADA, ASHE, NFPA, UL, ASTM, and FBC
    •  Develop and update comprehensive training curriculum for all field operations, Quality Department Staff, and Subcontractors 
    •  Stay abreast of trends and evolving best practices by participating in organizations and forums dedicated to Quality.
    •  Keep the Company informed of the latest updates on best practices and standards 

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP quality control in building construction projects.
    • Prove experience in conducting inspections, audits, and managing quality documentation.
    • Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
    • Proficient with quality management software and MS Office.
    • Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) are a plus.
