If you're looking to make an impact on nationally significant projects while accelerating your career with a premier construction organization, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss.Job DescriptionThe MEP Manager will be responsible for:Leading all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) activities throughout the project lifecycle, from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.Managing the procurement and delivery of major MEPF equipment, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements.Driving MEP coordination efforts between design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field operations to ensure successful project execution.Partnering with Project Managers and Superintendents to develop and maintain installation schedules, sequencing plans, and milestone commitments.Reviewing construction documents, specifications, and subcontractor scopes to identify potential gaps, conflicts, and opportunities for optimization.Overseeing the RFI, submittal, and shop drawing process for all MEPF disciplines to ensure timely approvals and project progression.Leading weekly coordination meetings with project teams, consultants, and trade partners to proactively address issues and maintain momentum.Monitoring MEP budgets, forecasts, and cost exposures, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to protect project financial performance.Ensuring all MEPF installations meet contract requirements, quality standards, and owner expectations.Collaborating with commissioning agents, design consultants, and operations teams to support system startup, testing, balancing, and certification activities.Managing turnover activities including O&M manuals, as-built documentation, owner training, and warranty coordination.Coordinating critical shutdowns, energization procedures, and system integrations while minimizing impacts to project schedules and operations.Establishing and enforcing MEP-specific QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality workmanship and system reliability.Leveraging BIM, project management software, and construction technologies to improve coordination, reporting, and issue resolution.Identifying and implementing innovative solutions, value engineering opportunities, and industry best practices to enhance project outcomes.Supporting project teams in resolving complex technical issues related to building systems, constructability, and design intent.Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.Ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, safety standards, and company policies.Promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all MEP-related project activities.Mentoring project engineers and field personnel on MEP systems, coordination practices, and construction best practices.Providing regular project status updates to leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and key decision points.Driving successful delivery of mission-critical systems while maintaining project schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
