MEP Manager

A respected commercial general contractor in Chicago is looking for an MEP Manager to join its preconstruction team. This role has an electrical focus and works early in the design phase, helping owners and design teams make smart MEP decisions before a shovel hits the ground.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate electrical and MEP systems, including life-cycle cost comparisons
• Review design documents for MEP scope, coordination and constructability
• Build MEP budget estimates starting at schematic design, using historical cost data
• Develop value engineering options that keep projects on budget
• Help select and manage the right MEP trade partners
• Work with project teams using 3D/4D modeling to coordinate systems

What You Bring

• Several years of MEP preconstruction, estimating or project experience with a general contractor or MEP contractor
• Strong electrical systems knowledge, plus a solid understanding of mechanical and plumbing
• Experience building budgets from early design documents
• Familiarity with BIM, 3D/4D modeling and cost databases
• Clear communication and a collaborative, team-first approach

What We Offer

• Pay range: $120,000–$160,000 per year, based on experience
