    About the Role

    A well-established behavioral health organization is seeking licensed clinicians to provide diagnostic assessments and outpatient therapy on a contract basis. You’ll collaborate with the Clinical Director and leadership team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care to diverse clients across multiple programs.

    This role is ideal for independent professionals who want flexibility, steady referrals, and a supportive structure — without the red tape of traditional employment.

    What You’ll Do

    • Complete Diagnostic and Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (DAs/CCAs)

    • Provide individual and group therapy sessions (outpatient level)

    • Create and maintain Treatment Plans, Crisis Plans, and Person-Centered Plans

    • Submit all clinical documentation in the organization’s EHR system within policy timelines (typically within 2 days for assessments)

    • Ensure compliance with all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards

    • Collaborate with clinical leadership to support quality outcomes and client progress

    Qualifications

    • Licensure Required: LCAS, LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or equivalent (North Carolina licensure required)

    • Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field

    • Experience: Minimum 1–3 years providing assessments or therapy in a clinical setting

    • Technical: Proficiency with electronic health records (ShareNote experience preferred)

    • Additional Requirements:

      • Active professional liability insurance

      • Strong written documentation skills

      • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    Compensation

    • Per-Service Rates:

      • $75 per Diagnostic Assessment

      • $40 per Addendum

      • $25 per Initial Person-Centered Plan

    • Contractors are paid bi-weekly based on submitted and approved invoices.

    Contract Terms

    • Independent contractor position (1099)

    • Flexible scheduling — manage your own workload within policy expectations

    • Renewable one-year contract, terminable with 30 days’ notice
