Mental Health Education Coordinator

National Mental Health Corps (NMHC) AmeriCorps Volunteers serve alongside community organizations to expand access to mental health education, prevention, and support services. At SC Thrive, members support school and community mental health initiatives by implementing Adult Mental Health First Aid trainings and helping increase awareness of available resources. Volunteers assist with outreach efforts, community partnerships, communications, and promotional activities to engage participants and expand access to mental health education. Members also contribute to program coordination, data collection, and basic evaluation efforts to support continuous improvement and sustainability. Through service and collaboration, NMHC Volunteers help strengthen community capacity to recognize mental health needs, reduce stigma, and connect individuals with appropriate resources and support.
