    Description

    What you'll do at DBH:

    The Director of Performance Improvement will develop and implement performance improvement and quality assurance plans on a system wide basis while coordinating with the DBH Hospital Services.

    • Work with the Hospital Executive Committee (HEC), department heads, committee chairs and team leaders
    • Examine current PI/QA plans, and policies in order to make recommendations for changes
    • Develop and implement programs, policies and plans for Active Psychiatric Treatment and Recovery programs
    • Develop methods to assure the facility's performance
    • Promote a continuous state of readiness to assure compliance with all accrediting and certifying agencies
    • Monitor The Joint Commission (TJC) required functions
    • Oversee the Peer Review Nurses chart review process to ensure quality of care and compliance
    • Coordinate the management of the national bench-marketing data through N.R.I.
    • Prepare and submit computer generated reports
    • Keep abreast of current trends and changes
    • Participate in and or chairs committees, PI/QA teams; attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions
    • Serves as legal liaison to DBH legal staff and the Attorney General's Office

    This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of 15 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (Flexible Schedule). This position is located at our Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare location, located at 1756 Sagamore Rd Northfield, Ohio 44067.

    Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

    Additional Salary / Appointment Information:

    Longevity supplement at 5 years of service

    Position Qualifications:

    Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration or mental health technology (e.g., psychology, rehabilitation, social work); 12 mos. exp. in area to be assigned.

    OR

    completion of graduate core program in public administration or business administration.

    OR

    12 mos. exp. as Mental Health Administration 4, 65224, in Department of Mental Health. Note: prior training &/or experience must be directly related to area to be assigned.

    OR

    The equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
