Position Title: Men's Baseball Assistant Coach Position Description: Performs coaching and promotional functions, including fundraising, for the ACC men's baseball team. Reports To: Men's Baseball Head Coach and Athletic Director Position Status: Temporary Part-time, Exempt, Paid by Stipend, subject to annual review and appointment. Practice begins in January; season runs March through May. Recruitment and other related activities may extend beyond the season. Classification/Points: Not Applicable Bargaining Unit/Division: None Position Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Provide assistance in the direction and coordination of the baseball program in the planning, organizing, and coaching of the men's baseball program.
- Assist with recruitment of team members.
- Assist head coach with equipment maintenance and storage at the completion of the coaching season.
- Must be willing to work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with College, conference, and NJCAA policies and regulations.
- Support the academic, athletic, and personal development of the student athletes.
- Follow all ACC and Athletic Department policies and procedures.
- Assist head coach with conducting daily practices (practice schedule varies from early morning to evening).
- Travel with team to all games and tournaments.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate pre-season conditioning program.
- Provide other program services as directed by the Men's Baseball Head Coach and Athletic Director.
