This role supports the membership department in ensuring smooth operations and effective engagement with members.
Job Description:
The Membership Specialist will manage administrative tasks related to member services, assist with recruitment and retention efforts, and ensure accurate recordkeeping and communications. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to interact with members in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Support membership recruitment and retention activities.
Process new memberships, renewals, and cancellations in the database.
Respond to member inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
Assist in organizing and promoting membership events and activities.
Maintain accurate records of membership status and track relevant data.
Prepare membership reports and assist with data analysis to support growth strategies.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure membership needs are met.
Assist in coordinating communication efforts, including newsletters and announcements.
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of membership experience within a nonprofit association setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree is preferred; experience can compensate.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AMS/CRM systems (ideally iCIMS).
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
