Reporting to the Director of Membership, the Membership Specialist performs an array of vital support functions that ensure efficiency, accuracy, and continuity of daily gift processing, record keeping, and customer service. The Membership Specialist works closely with the Assistant Director of Database Systems and the Assistant Director for Member Engagement to facilitate the smooth execution of daily operational and financial processes.

This position requires work on occasional morning, night, or weekend hours for events. Additionally, regular business days during December and January holidays.

Essential Functions

Manages CRM operations: constituent and gift records, queries, validation, premium setup/inventory, and fulfillment

Builds and maintains online donation forms (basic HTML) and CRM tables for fundraising, inventory, and processing.

Administers and manages the Matching Gift program.

Assists with sustainer retention efforts across mail, email, phone, and CRM.

Creates and executes email campaigns through CRM and Constant Contact.

Generates and fulfills acknowledgments and donor communications.

Provides support at off-site fundraising events and member drives at the radio station.

Provides guidance, training and support to student workers in operations and fundraising tasks.

Monitors supply and material levels, reorders as needed.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in membership or development operations.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

Proficiency in Excel and Word.

Experience working in CRM systems.

Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial information.

Basic HTML/web page design experience.

Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, effectively, and discreetly with colleagues and donors.

Ability to adapt, redirect, multitask, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Ability and eagerness to work collaboratively as part of a highly motivated, energetic team.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to learn new tasks quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

Familiarity with WFUV's music format.

Minimum Starting Salary $65,000 Maximum Starting Salary $70,000 Note Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills. Is this a Union position? No
